Problem
Student parking at San Jose State University is a constant struggle due to the lack of current activity updates and reminder assistance
Solution
Remove San Jose State's garage update webpage and implement updates that is easily accessible to students using the ParkMobile app
Discovery
Our team collected information on campus to highlight the significant issues that need to be addressed. We found that our campus parking situation was a challenge that could have a potential upside in assisting students rather than making their already stressful lifestyle more chaotic.
*We interviewed students, mainly commuters, who experience the university's parking garages in order to observe their thoughts and feelings.*
After interviewing students on campus, our team focused on 3 major features:​
1. Parking Activity
2. Carpooling
3. Time Reminders
Focusing on these features provides students who commute a better opportunity to make it to their classes on time.
